Dive Into a

Sermon Series

What happened when Jesus died, and what does his death mean for us now? The cross is more than one image, one explanation, or one doctrine. In this two-part series, we look at the many biblical pictures that reveal what Christ accomplished for us — and then explore what it means to be united with him. God has brought us into Christ, where his death becomes our death, his life becomes our life, and his future becomes our hope.

Nehemiah provides a practical strategy for God’s people to do incredible work together. He shows us how to build for the Lord while overcoming division and criticism.

If you’ve ever gotten caught up in anger or anxiety, you know how a flurry of thoughts and feelings can hook you and take you places you don’t want to go.

Why does evangelism worry so many Christians? When we understand our part, God’s part, and the part of the hearer, it can liberate and inspire us to this great work!

This year, we'll focus many of our lessons on unity, beginning with this series based on our theme verse, Philippians 1:27: "Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ … standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel."

Holiness isn’t reserved for extraordinary moments — it’s formed in daily habits. This series looks at how God directs the regular parts of our lives, like work, food, rest, and clothing, showing how simple choices can become meaningful acts of faith.

The disciples once asked Jesus, "Lord, teach us to pray" (Luke 11:1). It’s not enough to learn facts ABOUT prayer. We need to learn HOW. We want to follow our Lord's way of prayer, integrating his principles into our practice, the “Dos” and “Don’ts” of prayer he taught.

Faith makes sense, and it makes sense of life, because God is the best explanation for the world around us and the longings within us. This two-part series explores the evidence for God in creation, conscience, and Christ, then examines three popular arguments some people make against God. But more than arguments, these lessons highlight how only God gives love, goodness, and life their true meaning.

This summer, we invited guest speakers to teach on practices for imitating Christ and drawing near to God.

What is holiness? And how does God give flawed humans like us a sacred ministry and life in his presence?

Authority is one of the Bible's biggest themes — and one of our culture's greatest struggles. But the Bible declares that Jesus' authority is good news! Our Lord reigns with wisdom, sacrifice, and love, calling us to live under his good rule. In this series, we'll discover why this is good news, how to trust his voice, and how citizens of heaven faithfully live in the world without belonging to it.

Our theme this year is "Standing As One," and this summer, guest speakers are bringing us sermons on each of the seven "ones" of Ephesians 4:4-5. "There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—  one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

Paul's rich, sophisticated letter to the Romans shows us the way from sin and death into new life in the Spirit, filled with confidence and love through the grace of God in Christ. This journey through the book illuminates the gospel, from the heartbreaking bad news in chapters 1-3 to the practical conclusions in chapters 12- 16. We give one lesson to each major section, often summarizing two or three chapters at a time, so we can follow the book's broader argument.

How do some disciples rejoice in any circumstance and create harmony out of conflict? The book of Philippians shows us the mature Christian mind, as Paul exemplifies a radically different way of thinking.

The statements made during Christ's crucifixion — seven by Jesus and seven by others — offers a unique window into our Lord's heart. It also gives us an eye-opening insight into our own hearts!
