Our Deacons

Deacons assist and serve our body using their talents to guide projects and initiatives that further our mission and vision (1 Tim. 3:8-13; cf. Phil. 1:1; Acts 6:1-6).

“God has given us an indestructible desire to live with Him for eternity. He has revealed to us the way to that life through Jesus Christ and His message of salvation in the gospel.”

— Ralph

“He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.”

Eccles. 3:11

“Just as Paul in Athens, we as Christians strive to bring all to the knowledge of God and his son Jesus, and to the salvation He affords.”

— Brett

“‘For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’”

Acts 17:28

“Before we spend our lives worrying about ‘tithing spices’ we need to get our hearts right, to master love, kindness and faithfulness. God knows our hearts and we will be judged on these things first.”

— Jeff

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.”

Matthew 23:23

See Micah 6:8; Rom. 9:18

“This passage encourages me to rely on prayer and trust in God’s provision, allowing me to experience a peace that surpasses understanding. It serves as a source of encouragement, reminding me of the power of faith and trust in God’s loving care.”

— Aaron

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7

“I gain great encouragement and strength from the verse below.”

— Phil

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Philippians 4:13

“Here is a wonderful assurance that our diligent faithfulness will result in our salvation.”

— Bob

“Therefore brothers , be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.”

2 Peter 1:10

“Every day, something pops up in our lives that challenges us. During these difficult times, we may feel alone and helpless. But this verse reminds me that God is with us throughout those times and He can help guide us through those challenges.”

— Steve

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
